Splash Pad Multi-Purpose Renter's Responsibilities and Agreement

-The Valdese Parks and Recreation Department does not issue refunds. If you call the department at least one week in advance with notification of your cancellation, we will be happy to assist you in rescheduling your reservation.

-If there is thunder or lightning in the vicinity, the Splash Pad will be cut off for safety reasons.

-Set up and clean up after your event must be completed within the time period of your reservation.

-Please note the person unlocking/locking the facility will be on time.
The 11:00am time slot will be opened at that time and locked at 2:00pm. The 3:00pm time slot will be re-opened at that time and locked at 6:00pm. Please be respectful of other renters with reservations scheduled for the same day.

-Tables and chairs must be returned to the storage area after your event.

-Wipe down tables with cleaning solution and a washcloth after the event. Cleaning solution and wash cloths are located in the trash can where tables and chairs are stored. Hang the wet washcloths on the side of the trash can.

-Sweep the floor and spot mop after your event.

-Carry all garbage to the red dumpster marked for trash at the Valdese Recreation Department main parking lot. Cardboard trash goes into the smaller red dumpster beside the larger one and is marked for cardboard. Please use the appropriate dumpster. All doors on the dumpsters must be closed and secured.

-If you are also renting the outdoor picnic area, please clean after your event and leave no trace. Do not leave grill ashes on the premises to prevent a fire hazard.

-Please note that the picnic table area and the indoor room are often rented at the same time by different parties. Do not use the picnic table area if you have not reserved it.

-Parking is only permitted in the parks and recreation parking lots and the grassy area adjoining the front entrance of the Splash Pad Multi-Purpose Room building. Please do not park on other private properties OR along the street. There are no parking signs.

No food trucks or bounce houses are permitted on the premises.
No alcohol or smoking (includes vaping) allowed anywhere on the premises.
No tape or anything sticky allowed anywhere on the walls, windows, doors or tables.
No use of confetti/silly string/glitter or filled balloons anywhere on the premises.
