Splash Pad Multi-Purpose Room Renter’s Responsibilities

-Set up and clean up after your party is included within the time you have reserved it.
-Please note that the person unlocking/locking the facility will be right on time.
(4-6 pm reservation time = 4 pm unlock/6 pm lock-up time)
-The parks and recreation department does not issue refunds. If you call the parks and recreation department at least a week in advance, we are happy to help you re-schedule.
-If there is thunder/lightning in the vicinity the splash pad will be cut off for safety reasons.

1. Set up tables and chairs and put them up after the event.
Wipe down tables with cleaning solution and a wash cloth after the event. Cleaning solution and wash cloths are located in the trash can where tables and chairs are located. Hang the wet washcloths on the side of the trash can.

2. Sweep the floor and spot mop after party.

3. Carry all garbage to blue dumpster at the Valdese Recreation Department. Cardboard trash goes into beige dumpster. All doors on dumpsters must be closed afterwards.

4. Bathrooms need to be left cleaned.

5. Outdoor picnic area must clean after your event if you have rented it. Do not leave grill ashes on the premises where they can become a fire hazard.

6. Please note that the picnic table area and the indoor room are often rented at the same time, by two different parties. Do not use the picnic table area if you have not reserved it.

No alcohol or smoking (includes vaping) allowed anywhere on the premises.
No tape or anything sticky allowed anywhere on walls, windows, doors or tables.
(Command strips may be used for hanging decorations, but must pull off cleanly and you are responsible for any facility damage).
No use of confetti/silly string/glitter or bounce houses anywhere on the premises.
