Note:
-NO MORE THAN 30 PEOPLE IN SHELTER.
-Set up and clean up after your party is included within the time you have reserved it.
-The parks and recreation department does not issue refunds. If you call the parks and recreation department at least a week in advance, we are happy to help you re-schedule.
-If there is thunder/lightning in the vicinity the splash pad will be cut off for safety reasons. By signing this agreement, you understand you will not receive a refund/re-schedule if Splash Pad is cut off for safety reasons or if there is bad weather. Please note that splash pad is typically only on May-Early September (dates change yearly).
Responsibilities for Splash Park Renters:
1. Sweep the floor of the picnic shelter.
2. Carry all garbage to the blue dumpster at the Valdese Recreation Department main parking lot. Cardboard trash goes in the beige dumpster beside the blue one. All doors on the dumpsters must be closed afterwards.
3. No food trucks or bounce houses.
4. Outdoor picnic area must clean after your event if you have rented it. Do not leave grill ashes on the premises where they can become a fire hazard.
5. Please note that the picnic table area and the indoor room are often rented at the same time, by two different parties. Renters of the indoor room will have to walk through the shelter to get to the park.
6. The shelter is only guaranteed during the time of your rental, you cannot refuse use of the shelter to anyone outside of your paid rental time.
No alcohol or smoking (includes vaping) allowed anywhere on the premises.
No tape allowed anywhere on walls, windows, doors or tables.
No use of confetti/silly string or bounce houses anywhere on the premises.
**Please note that the splash pad is a public park. You are renting the outside shelter only.**
